Inversions and Transitions Workshop

This workshop will give you the tools necessary to ensure that you practice inversions and arm balances safely and mindfully, so that you are not relying on momentum or force to lift off, but rather your own strength through fun and interesting transitions!

We will warm up, discuss the foundation for balancing on the hands, head, and forearms, firing up your core, stretching and strengthening muscles for going upside-down. We will explore a variety of inversions and how to transition in and out of each pose in safe ways by using props (blocks, straps, bolsters and a wall).

Cary will be leading this workshop on Saturday June 10 from 1:30-3:30 pm and she will work to increase your confidence to try more challenging poses on your own and overcome your fears about falling and going upside down.
