This workshops is for beginners and seasoned yogis alike.
If you are new to Ashtanga Yoga, you will find that this workshop will help you gain a deeper understanding of the Ashtanga practice as you begin to explore classes with Andre in our studio.
In the “Mysore” method, students practice the series of postures they've learned, but at the pace of their own breath. In the Mysore method, students are supported and assisted in the practice where and when they need it.
In our studio, we lead the class but students are always welcomed and encouraged to move with their breath.
The workshop will include 2 hours of instruction, a review of the history and practice of Ashtanga Yoga, the integration of the Yoga Sutras with the Ashtanga Yoga Method and an overview and break-down of the sequences of the Ashtanga Yoga series.
